The biggest factor for health in this country is the food we eat on a daily bases. There are other factors that improve our health but food is the biggest. Deep down you might know this is true but you can have your doubts.
- First, you might not want to change your diet because you like the foods you are eating. I don’t have to take away all your foods that you like. I can start introducing new foods one at a time, and you can choose which foods will work best for you. Over time your taste buds will change.
- Secondly, you might think that you are already eating healthy foods and don’t need to change. This is common but not accurate. The foods you are eating that you think are health are often not the healthiest options for you.
- Lastly, you might think that your condition is too severe to improve with food-based therapy. There is plenty of research on food that proves it can improve your condition. You have to understand that your body is constantly growing, improving and changing. Your condition is not static.
Are you feeling overwhelmed sifting through medical research?
Research is critically important in diagnosing and treating health conditions. There are two main hurdles to overcome. The first is having an extensive knowledge base of information and once you have this, you need to overcome the industry bias. With me as your alternative healthcare provider, I am fluent in a wide variety of medical research. The research I study is drugless based methods. This is different from your conventional medical doctor that most likely studies drug based methods.
When I study research I look for patterns. For example, if a food or diet is found to be helpful for the heart, I would also expect that food or diet to be helpful for the brain, liver or kidneys. Also, if I find that a food or diet is helpful at preventing a health condition, I would also expect that food or diet to be good at reversing that condition.
Next, overcoming industry bias. One, different studies can be funding by an industry with an incentive for the outcome of that study. Second, a conventional medical doctor can be funded by a pharmaceutical company. An average of 83% of convention doctors receive gifts from pharmaceutical companies averaging $15,000 per year. How do I know that? Through the sunshine act. It mandates that this information is to be made public. You can find more information here: https://projects.propublica.org/docdollars/
Some of my favorite research articles involve helping prevent a health condition. One of these research articles involves cancer. Even though you might not be worried about cancer, if a food is good at preventing cancer it is also good for us in many other ways as well. What these researches did was take prostate cancer cells in a petri dish in a lab. They also had different groups of subjects on different diets to compare blood samples to see how different foods affected the prostate cancer cells. There was a range between 9% destruction and 70% destruction based on what foods they were eating. The researchers didn’t stop there. They used different types of cancers in a petri dish combined with different types of foods to find out which foods affected the cancer the best. For example, if you had stomach cancer in a petri dish, the research found a food that when combined in the petri dish with the cancer cells it wiped it out 100%. Wouldn’t you like to know that information?
Your health is dependent on each or your different body systems working properly.
What are the different body systems?
Some of the different body systems that we have are the digestive system, immune system, reproductive system, endocrine system, lymphatic and others. Each of these different systems have their own function. Therefore, each system has it’s own requirements to work properly.
Over time one system of the body might start to perform less efficiently. Maybe it is not being supported with the right foods, being bogged down with the wrong foods or something else. When this occurs, characteristic signs often happen. This helps me identify which system of the body needs support.
My recommendations to support a specific system usually includes food or possibly chiropractic care to support a musculoskeletal nervous system condition. When this is done properly the results can surprise you.
I want to support your individual body systems so you can take control of your health!
This is a great way to incorporate some healthy food into your breakfast. What I do is make a smoothie. Maybe this video can give you some ideas or inspire you to try it too. A smoothie is a great way to get some healthy food into your daily routine. This is for people that believe making lifestyle changes and improving your diet can improve your health. I believe that, and I believe that food is a big part of that.
If a patient were to come in to see me with a health problem, I would often start with recommending healthy food. I would give them a list of different foods listing which foods would support their body the most. Different foods can be recommended for different body systems to help them feel better. The recipe used in the video is listed below.
Some of these foods for the average person might have a hard time incorporating them into your diet on a regular bases, but a smoothie is a great way to get a lot of healthy food in a short period of time on a regular bases. Also, I will show you how to make it taste really good too.
You don’t have to use all the ingredients but it will hopefully help you get started.
The secret ingredient is Dynamic Fruits and Greens which has stevia in it. Stevia is a plant based sweetener. If you are not familiar with stevia, some people will have a little bit of an aftertaste. That usually means that you used too much. You have to find the balance between not too much and enough. Once you get the amount of Dynamic Fruits and Greens that tastes good to you, it is just a matter of adding in as many health ingredients that you want to try to get as much healthy food in for your breakfast. Breakfast is a great time to get some healthy food in because that is basically a meal that probably you are just doing on your own and not in a group setting where your options are limited.
If you are new to smoothies, start really slow. Maybe just start with some Dynamic Greens with water and make sure you like the taste. Over the next couple weeks slowly start building your smoothie bigger and bigger as your digestive system gets used to it. Also, do not eat something sweet like chocolate before you try a stevia chocolate smoothie, you need to balance your taste buds first. I recommend the night before not to eat any processed sugar to start the balancing of your taste buds.
A Vitamix works best. The ingredients I use / recommend are listed below.
- 2 cups of ice water
- One capsule of Thyme
- Dulse Flakes
- Turmeric Powder
- Barley Grass Juice Powder
- Cacao Powder
- Cocoa Powder
- Amla Powder
- Chaga Powder
- Flax Seeds
- Wild Blueberries
- Dynamic Fruits and Greens
- Hemp Seeds
- Broccoli Sprouts
- Baby Spinach
Adding an Avocado to your smoothie
If you like the taste of Dynamic Fruits and Greens, it is time to take it to the next level. To do that, we need an avocado and a blender.
When you are shopping for an avocado here are some helpful tips. When you are in the store, look for an avocado that is nice and green. This will be firm to the touch. When other customers are testing the avocados for firmness, they are not going to bruise the avocado. When you bring them home, let them ripen on the counter top. As soon as they start to get a little soft to the touch and darken in color put them in the refrigerator. That will stall the ripening process and preserve them so when you are ready to use them it will be just right.
Also, when you are looking in the avocado section, look for avocados that oval in shape versus round. That way, when you cut it open there is more fruit. If it is round, you might cut it open only to find that the seed is taking up all the room with significantly less fruit for you.
If your avocado looks like it is not going to be rip enough for your next use, you can put it in a brown paper bag with a banana or apple. This will speed up the ripening process about twice as fast. If it is not rip enough, still do your best to use it because an avocado will really make your smoothie work. Without an avocado, I might not even make a smoothie that day.
Asparagus or flax seeds will also thicken a smoothie like an avocado, but it doesn’t quite work as well as an avocado.
